This is a cool little project. Everspark recently went through a site redesign. The original plan for the homepage was to have a video detailing a few of their fantastic results, but it was scrapped the day before the site was supposed to go live. Another section of the site goes into detail about the reports Everspark provides for their clients. These reports cover keyword research, link building, and overall progress. I was instructed to make a video explaining the reports for use on the homepage, because they are incredibly impressive, and no other SEO company gives so much detail to their clients.
In one day I had to make the three videos that would correspond to each report, and then string them together into one video. I was given PDFs and Excel files of each type of report and a script for each to go on, which was very helpful. I’m grateful that my employers understand how to streamline the process for me. They know basically what they want to see, but they give me the creative freedom to choose how to communicate the information. They are a very supportive and constructive company.
The entire video was made in After Effects using the PDFs, which I converted to Illustrator files, and screenshots of the Excel files that I turned into PSDs. I think the animation itself turned out very smoothly. It has a corporate feel, which I was going for, and glad I achieved. But what I truly love about this piece is the music. I bought it over at AudioJungle. I think that place is one of the greatest resources for video editors. It’s full of great music and sound effects. This particular song is just perfect. I feel like you could play this over anything and it would instantly be exciting. I just want this to be my theme song right now.
